Unaltrosguardo (another view) is a Para Ti project that arises from an experience started up four years ago in Rio de Janeiro Vila Canoas favela.
Here is Para Ti headquarters, association born in the ’80 thanks to dedication of Franco Urani and his family.
Franco, ex-president of FIAT Brazilian branch, dealt with industrial operations of the company in the ’70 crowned with works opening in Belo Horizonte.
Actually Association is involved successfully to keep track of development of more than 400 children and of their families, from more than twenty years.
Children are distance supported from many Italian families. Results are great and in 20 year led schooling from 2-3% to 97-98% with later improvement of community general conditions.
Project Unaltrosguardo gave opportunity to some of these children to tell their world by photography. A book and an exhibition sprang. From this point developed more projects
9.000 people visit Para Ti each year. They are aware travelers, sensitivity gifted to cultural and social topics. Many of them express the desire to contribute to our projects.
For giving a concrete contribution it’s possible to proceed as follows:
1. children distance support with 200,00 € for year
2. joining in Association with 50,00 €/year and became a Para Ti Friend
3. buying Unaltrosguardo book for 25 € + shipping costs
4. giving a free contribution for sustaining of the children center (that costs 5.000,00 € each month) or for houses building and restore (habilitation’s program)
5. scholar-ships
6. handicraft and micro-contractors promotion.
7. informatics activities and news computers
Shortly on our site will be published photograph or only name of all friends that are helping us in the project for showing how many people in the world are able to see things from another view.
Para Ti Friends could promote support project in their country as follows:
organizing in their own town presentation of the project
Presentations will have four goals
1. picking out people helpful to distance support
2. picking out people interested in registration like Para Ti Friends
3. invite people to responsible travels that our association organizes in Rio de Janeiro
4. sell Unaltrosguardo book
Presentation can be done autonomously with Power Point slide show that we will send on request.
Or, if preferred, presentation can be done by our staff (2 people) that will be on place by itself. Unique request hospitality for one or two nights.
PARA TI needs to receive donations to provide means to maintain its CHILDREN CENTER , informatic activities, children distance support, habitation’s program, scholar-ships, handicraft and micro-contractors promotion.
